Soñadora Tempranillo Garnacha SPAIN RED
Tasting Note: A soft, easy-going blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha is loaded with
dark berry fruit that has a subtle, spicy twist to fi nish. Serve with grilled sausages,
stews or hard cheese.
Blend: 50% Tempranillo, 50% Garnacha
Vineyard: Made from organically farmed vineyards situated in the high plains of
Spain in the La Mancha region. The area experiences a cold and windy winter followed
by a hot and dry summer, giving the grapes ideal sanitary conditions. La Mancha was
originally a region focused on grape production to make brandy, but in recent time
there has been exploration of the better sites in the southern and eastern highlands
which can create wines of this superior intensity and complexity.
Winemaking Note: The red wines are fermented in stainless steel at 24-26°C with
gentle daily pump-overs for medium extraction. After ten days the skins are removed
to ensure that no bitter tannins are extracted from the pips. Fined with bentonite to
ensure its vegan certifi cation, and cold stabilised before bottling.
